About

We did the maths on your dinner.

Munchabout is a food-ordering marketplace with no commission. Restaurants pay a flat monthly sub, so the menu you see is the menu in the shop, and the receipt only has fees that mean something.

Why Munchabout exists

Ordering in had got weird. The same dish cost more in the app than at the counter, and then the basket grew a service fee, a small order fee, a busy fee and a bag fee. Restaurants weren't winning either: a cut of every order goes out the door before the rent, the staff or the ingredients are paid for.

So we flipped the model. Restaurants pay Munchabout one flat price each month, whatever they sell. We take nothing from any order. That leaves nothing to mark up and nothing to recover from you in fees.

How we work

  • 0% commission. Our only income is the restaurant subscription.
  • In-store prices. Restaurants confirm their Munchabout menu matches their counter.
  • One delivery fee, set and received by the restaurant, shown before you order. Or free collection.
  • The restaurant's own team delivers, and you can track every delivery live. We don't run a fleet, and we don't pretend to.
  • Ranked, not bought. Diners who ordered decide who rises, and nobody can pay to rank higher.
  • Payments go straight to the restaurant and are paid out to its bank weekly. It is the seller; we never hold its takings.

Where we are

We're opening to good local restaurants everywhere, starting with ordering on the web. Wherever good kitchens join, diners can order from them. The model works anywhere people like good food and dislike silly fees. Want to know when we reach you? Join the waitlist.

Who we are

Munchabout is built by STRKK LTD, a small independent team. Made in the UK, fussy about food, allergic to small print.
