What Munchabout is
Munchabout is a marketplace that lets you order food from independent restaurants. The restaurant is the seller of everything on your receipt: the food, its delivery fee and any tax. Munchabout provides the ordering platform, takes no commission on your order and charges you no fees of its own.
Prices and fees
- Menu prices are set by the restaurant, which confirms they match its in-store prices.
- For delivery, the restaurant sets its own delivery fee, shown before you order. Collection has no delivery fee.
- There is no service fee, small order fee, busy-area fee or bag fee.
- Tax is shown on your receipt where the restaurant is VAT-registered.
Paying
Payment is taken by Stripe on the restaurant's behalf. Your card is authorised when you order and charged when the restaurant accepts. If the restaurant rejects your order or doesn't answer in time, the authorisation is released.
Delivery and collection
Delivery is carried out by the restaurant's own staff. Estimated times come from the restaurant. For collection, please collect your order promptly once it's ready.
Allergies
Allergen information is declared by each restaurant for each dish. If you have an allergy, contact the restaurant before ordering. A note to the kitchen is not a substitute for that conversation.
Problems and refunds
If something is wrong with your order, report it from the order. The restaurant, as the seller, is responsible for refunds for food and delivery, and we help resolve any dispute. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Ratings and messages
Only diners who have completed an order can rate it, once. Ratings must be honest and about your own experience. Nobody can pay for ratings or placement. Order chat is for the order in hand and closes shortly after it is complete. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
Tips
Tips are paid to the restaurant, which is responsible for passing them on to its staff in line with the law.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to hold an account. Keep your login safe. You can close your account at any time from your account settings.
Alcohol
Some restaurants may sell alcohol. If you order it, you must be 18 or over, and the driver will ask for ID and can refuse to hand it over.
Changes and contact
We'll tell you about material changes to these terms before they apply. Questions: [email protected]. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
