Everything diners ask us about fees, delivery, prices, allergies and how places get on Munchabout.
What does Munchabout cost me?
The food, at the restaurant's in-store prices, plus the restaurant's own delivery fee, shown before you order. Collect it yourself and there's no delivery fee at all. There's no service fee, no small order fee, no busy-area fee and no bag fee.
Why is there no service fee?
Because restaurants pay us a flat monthly subscription instead. We don't need to skim your order or theirs, so we don't.
Who sets the delivery fee?
The restaurant. It delivers with its own team, so it sets the fee, the delivery radius and any minimum order, and it receives the fee in full. You see the exact amount on the restaurant page and on the receipt before you pay.
Who delivers my food?
The restaurant's own driver. Munchabout has no couriers of its own. Every delivery has live tracking: while your order is on its way you can follow the driver on a map, message them in the order chat, or call the restaurant.
Are the prices really the same as in the restaurant?
Every restaurant on Munchabout confirms its menu prices match what it charges in-store. If you spot a difference, report it from your order and we check. A restaurant that breaks the rule loses its in-store prices badge.
How do I order with a food allergy?
Every dish lists the allergens the restaurant has declared for it, and you can filter dishes by allergen when you order. The restaurant's information is the source of truth. A note to the kitchen isn't an allergy system, so if you have an allergy, call the restaurant before you order. Its number is on the restaurant page. Read more on our allergens page.
How are restaurants ranked?
By ratings from diners who actually ordered. Only verified orders can leave a rating, and nobody can pay to appear higher. There are no paid placements on Munchabout.
Can I tip?
Yes. Tips are paid to the restaurant, which passes them on to its team, as the law requires. Munchabout doesn't take a penny of them.
My favourite place isn't on Munchabout. Can I suggest it?
Please do. Point them to our restaurant waitlist, or tell us about them. Your local legend is exactly who we want to hear about.
Something went wrong with my order. Who do I talk to?
Use Help on your order. The restaurant is the seller and handles refunds for its food and delivery, and we step in whenever you need us to.
